No. Managello is a Docker-based product that needs a standard VPS (minimum 2 vCPU / 4 GB RAM). It is not designed for cheap shared hosting or a one-click script host.

Yes. It's a one-command Docker install on any standard VPS. If you'd rather not: first-time installation is included, so we'll set it up on a VPS you own — and the Agency Hosted plan skips the VPS entirely, since we host it and you point your domain at us.

Yes. You own the installation and can customise it like any Laravel application. (Custom code changes are your own — they aren't covered by standard support or the Bug-Free Promise.)

Yes. Because everything lives on your VPS, you can move your install to another server whenever you want. It's a standard Docker-based product, so migrating is a straightforward move of your data and containers.

Yes. Managello sends client email through your own SMTP credentials, so mail arrives from your agency's domain — never from Managello.

Yes. Connect your Stripe account to take card payments on invoices. You can also record manual payments yourself if you prefer.

Yes. Managello includes privacy-request workflows, subject data export, retention controls, audit logs, publishable Privacy Policy, DPA and Retention Policy pages, and a Trust & Compliance hub. It helps you operate more responsibly, but it does not make your agency automatically GDPR-compliant — your policies, hosting, processes and legal obligations still matter. The document pages start from editable templates that are not legal advice; review them with your own counsel.

Yes. Clients accept estimates in the portal and can optionally type or draw a signature. Managello records who accepted, when, and from where, and can generate a branded acceptance certificate you can download. You can also require a signature before an estimate can be accepted — it's optional by default.

Yes. Add a fixed or percentage deposit to an estimate. When the client accepts, Managello raises a linked deposit invoice automatically and points them at it. Acceptance is recorded first and is never cancelled if the payment then fails — you just have an unpaid invoice to chase, not a lost approval.

Yes. A designated client owner can invite or remove their own teammates, within the controls you configure. You decide who can approve work and who can see invoices.

Yes. Change labels, custom fields, sections, terms and theme, and preview the same structure used for the PDF. Issued invoices keep the layout they were issued with, so a later redesign never rewrites paperwork a client already has.

Managello can connect to QuickBooks Online and sync issued invoices, payments, voids and refunds. The sync is one-way — Managello stays the source of truth — and it's off until you connect it. QuickBooks Desktop and Xero are not supported.

Managello's AI features are optional and use your own Anthropic or OpenAI key. We do not bundle tokens or mark up usage. You control the provider, model, monthly spend cap and whether AI is enabled at all.

No. On every plan, client portals, emails, PDFs and receipts carry your agency's brand. The only Managello mark is on internal staff/admin screens — and even that can be removed with the Badge removal add-on.

Yes — your license includes updates, the safe one-click updater with backups and rollback, and support. You can cancel anytime: your install keeps running, you simply stop receiving updates.

A reproducible issue that breaks core functionality (login, projects, requests, files, the client portal, or billing) in a supported Managello install. It does not cover cosmetic issues, feature requests, custom server misconfiguration, unsupported hosting, or third-party provider outages.
