Managello keeps clear, bounded retention for backups and gives you tools for compliance.
Backup retention
The on-box update backups are pruned automatically by a keep-last / keep-days policy, so old snapshots don't fill your disk — you always keep the most recent rollback points without unbounded growth. The rolled-back image from an update is retained for a configurable window (30 days by default) in case you need to reverse a rollback. System Health always shows your current backup and disk status.
Audit trail
The audit log is append-only — actions like invoice issue/void, approvals, and data exports are recorded and can't be edited or deleted after the fact. That's a compliance feature, not a limitation.
Data governance & exports
Under Settings → Data Governance you can export a data-subject report (for GDPR access/portability requests) and manage data-subject workflows. The Trust & Compliance area surfaces your security posture honestly, including any gaps.
